Relationships based on Christ.

This past weekend i went to a college ministry conference in Hot Springs, AR and one of the “breakout sessions” I attended was about our future relationship with our significant other (or current relationship, if you’re in one).

In the past several years i’ve been in a couple fairly serious relationships, that at one point i believed would lead to marriage, but obviously God had other plans.

In those relationships though, I found that I had a terribly tough time committing to my significant other at the time, and I didn’t know why, and it really bothered me.

I thought to myself “God, if this is really your will, if this is really who i’m supposed to be with, then i want to feel committed to it. I want to be able to give it all I have to give with no reserves.”

And I heard the answer that i’ve been looking for this weekend. “When you don’t settle, it’s easy to commit.”

When i find what i’m supposed to find in that significant other, it’s easy to commit to exactly what you’ve been looking for.

So be patient!! Find what you’re looking for, and then put a ring on it! haha. God Bless!
