Some people work their whole life for something that could be taken away.

The title of this blog refers to lyrics I recently heard in a song. The name of the song, I couldn’t tell you. But this line stuck out to me.

When we were all created, we were created with a void. That void was only meant to be filled with God. ONLY with God. However, our society has convinced even we, the christian population, the people who are supposed to “not be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind” that “The American Dream” will fill that void.

FALSE.

I don’t want to work my entire life for something that has no eternal value. I don’t want to chase after things that are in essence valueless in the kingdom of heaven. I want to truly fill my void.

I want to know God more, and be known by him.

I want to lead people to the kingdom of God.

I want to be fearless, courageous, and selfless for him.

That’s it. That’s all.

  1. made me think of these verses : “”Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.
    Isa 55:1-2 ESV
